RSOC 60th  ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATORY REUNION

It isn’t that common for a social club to remain a viable organization for 60 years. But, the RSOC has achieved just that! In 1965, the Raleigh Ski and Outing Club was formed to encourage group participation in skiing, camping, hiking, sailing, canoeing, rafting and other activities. And, for 60 years the RSOC has certainly fulfilled its objective!

We plan to celebrate this great milestone — the RSOC’s 60th anniversary! So, save the date of Saturday, September 27, for our club’s celebratory reunion!

We’ll gather at Fairview Community Center in Apex, where we’ll serve a barbeque dinner with all the fixing's, along with soft drinks.

So, you will just need to bring: BYOB (other than soft drinks) and a chair if you want to spend time outdoors.

We’ve all gotten to know so many great folks over the years through RSOC.  But,  over  time,  many of  us have lost touch with some who have left the club for various reasons. The RSOC Board of Directors has pulled up its database going back the last several years; and with this, we’re trying to contact as many past RSOC members as possible. But, you can help, too — spread the word to all the friends you’ve made in the RSOC over the years, asking them to be a part of the celebration, because our goal is to draw in as many current and former RSOC members as possible to reminisce about the 60 years of great times we’ve shared as RSOCers.

Start time:  1:00 p.m. (meal served about 2:30 p.m.)

End time:   6:00 p.m.

Event fee: $5.00 current/past RSOC members
