TOUR PLANT DELIGHTS
NURSERY AND JUNIPER LEVEL BOTANIC GARDEN
Saturday, March 6 #LE2103
It may not quite be spring yet but not too early to plan your summer garden! Join us for a self-guided tour of the winter garden season of the Juniper Level Botanic Garden and the Plant Delights Nursery.
The Juniper Level Botanic Garden is a not-for-profit, 28-acre educational, research, and display garden. The Plant Delights Nursery is a busy, mainly mail order nursery for unusual and hard to find plant specimens, but does have many common and native North Carolina varieties on site.
The nursery is not usually open except by appointment but does hold several open house events throughout the year, and March 6 is one of them.
Weather permitting, we will meet there at 9:30 and spend some time perusing the gardens and nursery, then can meet for lunch on site. There is a food truck scheduled for Saturday, or bring your own picnic. Bring a chair or blanket since it’s unknown what seating will be available, though there is casual seating throughout the garden and grassy areas along the sides of the gravel parking areas.
More details are available from the website: plantdelights.com. Be sure and see the botanic garden section and map when you visit the website.
Please let the Coordinator know by e-mail if you are planning on coming. In the event of bad weather, she will notify you of cancellation.
